RRC WR Sports Quota Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification

  • For Level 5/4 Posts: A Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • For Level 3/2 Posts: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent. OR, a Pass in Matriculation plus a Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT/Diploma.
  • For Level 1 Posts: Passed 10th or its equivalent examination OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years
  • Candidates must have been born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2008 (inclusive of both dates). No age relaxation is provided for any category.

Sports Achievements & Norms

Only sportspersons who have acquired the required sports achievements between April 1, 2023, and the date of the notification are eligible. 🧠 Selection Process:

The selection process for the RRC WR Sports Quota Recruitment is purely based on merit and performance in trials.

Stage 1: Selection Trials

  • All eligible candidates will be called for a trial.
  • The trial assesses game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observation, with a maximum of 40 marks.
  • Candidates must score a minimum of 25 marks in the trial to be considered “FIT” for the next stage. Those declared “NOT FIT” will be eliminated.

Stage 2: Assessment of Sports Achievements & Education

  • For the FIT candidates, the final merit list will be prepared based on a total of 100 marks.
  • Assessment of Sports Achievements: Maximum 50 Marks.
  • Marks for Game Skill, Fitness & Observation during Trial: Maximum 40 Marks.
  • Educational Qualification: Maximum 10 Marks.

The minimum qualifying marks for the final merit are 70 for Level 5/4, 65 for Level 3/2, and 60 for Level 1 posts.
