Comprehensive Eligibility Criteria for LIC AAO 2025

Educational Qualification

  • For AAO (Generalist): A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
  • For Assistant Engineer (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from an AICTE recognized institution.
  • For Assistant Engineer (Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering from an AICTE recognized institution.
  • For AAO (Chartered Accountant): Bachelor’s Degree and must have passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and be an Associate member.
  • For AAO (Company Secretary): Bachelor’s Degree and be a Qualified Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
  • For AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and must have passed at least 6 papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
  • For AAO (Insurance Specialist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India (Life).
  • For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Experience

  • For Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Minimum three years of post-qualification work experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects.
  • For AAO (Insurance Specialist): Minimum five years of experience working in Life Insurance Companies regulated by IRDAI.
  • For AAO (Legal): At least two years of experience as an Advocate or as a Law Officer in a legal department after enrollment with the Bar Council.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years (completed).
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2004).
  • For AAO (Chartered Accountant / Legal): Maximum age is 32 years
